It wasn’t a 105 degrees in the shade this year, so it felt much more like fall, but it seemed like attendance at the event was much higher. There were plenty of activities to keep the kids busy.  Forked River Fire Company provided fire truck rides for the kids. There were rock painting stations for “Lacey Township Rocks” on Facebook.  Lots of vendors with tables for their businesses or selling their crafts.  Lots of apple events including an apple pie eating contest, apple pies, candy apples to be purchased.  As a group our club distributed over 3,000 sub sandwiches, chips and water to the attendees.   This year we once again set up our Shelter Box display to show that Rotarians are “People of Action” to show the community some of the relief efforts we help to provide when disasters strike in the US and Internationally.  Thank you to all the sponsors that made this year’s festival a great success.
