Walmart Supports RC of FR at Grand Re-Opening

WalMart and the Rotary Club of Forked River have been Community Partners since store opening in October 2009. Today WalMart celebrated a new sleek and contemporary look to the Lanoka Harbor WalMart Superstore with a Grand Re-Opening Celebration. The Rotary Club of Forked River was one of the honored guests. Through the years WalMart has supported many of our programs and projects. Most notable among those projects, President Diamond said during her remarks, was providing the seemingly endless number of turkeys needed to fill the Thanksgiving meal baskets provided by the Rotary to the families in town who need it the most. She also noted that soon the members of the Rotary sponsored Lacey High School Interact Club would be spending a morning shopping to fill the wishes, of the children served by the Rotary Elf Program. The Rotary Club of Forked River joins the rest of the Lacey community in wishing WalMart and General Manager Mr. George W. Smith and his Staff a Happy Grand Re-Opening!!
